Yes, in two ways. The second effect is moisture. Sea fog keeps roof surfaces damp longer into the morning, which favours moss and algae growth even on properties with reasonable sun exposure. Practically, that means coastal South Surrey roofs benefit from being inspected as well as cleaned. When we are up there for moss removal, we check the metalwork and tell you what we find.
How do you price larger South Surrey homes?
By the actual roof, not by a rate card. South Surrey has a lot of large detached homes, particularly in Morgan Creek, Grandview Heights and Rosemary Heights, with long rooflines, multiple planes, dormers and complex valley systems. Square footage matters, but so do pitch, access, the number of valleys and how much debris has built up. That is why Devin does every assessment in person and free of charge. He walks the property, looks at the roof and gives you a fixed number before anything is booked. We do not quote from satellite images and we do not revise the price partway through the job.
Will the cleaning damage my landscaping or hard surfaces?
No. We protect plantings and sensitive surfaces before we start, control where runoff goes, and clear all the debris that comes off the roof rather than leaving it in the beds or on the driveway.
